Current Turkey: Solid head wind - bad signals for the tourism
Turkish policy receives solid head wind to feel - bad signals for the tourism
(openPR) -, than this is to be recognized in the European press, an analysis of the Turkish national Pressedienstes shows the present attitude of the political and military forces in Turkey by far clearer.
The political developments in the north Iraq, at whose end an autonomous Kurd region supported from the USA could stand, see Turkish military as substantial threat of Turkish interests. Government and opposition follow this estimate.
Thus one thinks loud about military actions in this region and tries from the Americans support or - if they want to grant these not directly - at least a tolerating of the own actions to reach.
Also the developments in Cyprus do not run so at all after the conceptions in Turkey. Individual careful steps of the government of north Cyprus could be rated as the attempt to practice a limited autonomy of the policy in relation to Turkish defaults.
Are the conceptions of the nordzypriotischen government by far more pragmatically, than still the Turkish way of thinking orienting at historical dimensions.
First activities of the nordzypriotischen government make clear that them are interested in negotiations, which bring directly seizable results for the citizen living on north Cyprus. The Turkish policy orients itself against it still at the memories of the osmanische realm any longer not existing.
But the signals, which arrive from the current policy and its announcements to Europe, save large dangers. The European union would like a democratic and „peaceful “Turkey, which does not try diversities of opinion to decide to its favour by using threatening bearing. Partial freezing of the negotiations in the December of the last yearly was a clear signal into this direction.
Also the predominant number of the tourists makes sure with the choice of their holidays goal that one can spend as safe a vacation as possible there. A country, which threatens with military actions to one of its neighbours, is a little suitable for it.
Already in the past year the reservation numbers were clearly declining, which affected also the economic situation of humans substantial active in the tourism industry negatively.
There could one still the bird flu, which terrorists and that do not push probably-reflected for European press the debt into the shoes. These arguments will not no more count in this year. If the image of Turkey continues to worsen now, not the responsibility, but the politicians carries into the media.
The solid head wind, which one can feel at present in Turkey, is not exclusively foreigncertain from the fact, but resulted to a large extent that one wants to go into the wrong direction.
