One will probably only receive characterized Diesel fuel with a delay after aid-legal permission by the European Union commission from the refineries, since one must invest first into new technical mechanisms. Some mineral oil companies have the necessary technology already today already.

The Federal Ministry of Transport (BMVBS) asked at the end of of Septembers at the European Union commission for notification of the planned oil tax reduction. In the middle of November has the commission thereupon for supplementing explanations asked. These lead to a delay of the expected notification, so that an entry into force of the reduction will be in all probability no longer possible to 01 January 2007.
