The Internet interface for the entire household: the communication solutions of eDevice
(openPR) - a new service for the tele-call of current and water meters, inserted into France, uncovers disturbances and deviations
The French enterprise EDELIA offers now the Home to gateways of the electronics specialist eDevice for the lowering of the energy consumption. The new system is based on the Wireless and LAN technology as well as the portable radio standard GPRS. Application accesses the middleware IDeMS. The service uses the interfaces with the Tele reading of the values of current, water and gas meters of eDevice, in order to send the data of the house of the consumer to the service bureau as a check.
EDELIA offers so a completely new, simple and innovative service for the control and lowering of the consumption of river and water. The reading of the counters makes a detailed Nachverfolgung with release for a warning possible with the consumer, if a Rohrbruch is discovered or if abnormal deviations in consumption are determined.
The eDevice interface stores the wirelessly transferred values of water, gas and electric meters and sends it by Internet over ADSL-routs the customer or over the GPRS net. The data are archived afterwards and transferred over by eDevice supplied middleware IDeMS to the EDELIA servers for the analysis of consumption. Over IDeMS also the remote maintenance of all is completed with the consumers installed interfaces.
