Drexel and white receive two Austrian honors

Award of the state price for architecture and lastingness (openPR) - state price for architecture and lastingness and Energy Globe Vorarlberg lent

Directly doubly Lorbeeren harvested the Vorarlberger market leaders for passive house building services Drexel and white in October 2006. At the beginning of the monthly the enterprise received for the first time the state price for architecture and lastingness, assigned from the Austrian life Ministry. End of the monthly could be pleased Drexel and white about the Energy Globe Vorarlberg 2006.

In both cases new business building of the Wolfurter of enterprise was distinguished. In co-operation with the landlord Drexel and white had reorganized the empty standing production hall in the past year in passive household pool of broadcasting corporations.

The original building showed a characteristic energy value of 200 kWh/m2 and year, in the reorganized condition exhibits the production hall now a characteristic energy value of 10 kWh/m2 and year. Thus approximately 325,000 KW/H per year at energy and approximately 120 tons of CO2 per year could be saved. Structural extra costs amounted to approximately 104,000 euro, could be compensated however by smaller investments into the building services at a value of 98.000 euro nearly.

With the award of the state price for architecture and lastingness Herbert Greisberger, program manager of the initiative stressed „climate: actively house “and supervisor of the state State of the role of the pioneer of the building. Greisberger: „Architecture, which develops on lastingness, corresponds to the build standard of the future. The excellent projects are thereby important outriders, at whom ArchitektiInnen, owners and in the long run also user inside of buildings the example can take themselves. “

The Energy Globe is in the meantime an initiative world-wide started in Austria and for the honor and communication of presenting projects in the sense of efficient and intelligent energy use and power production. In the context of a country wide competition in the nine Lands of the Federal Republic Energy Globe winner are determined. From approximately a dozen of submissions Drexel and white in Vorarlberg were gekürt to the winner.
