Also in the light of new study results the broad employment of the vacuum sealing therapy (VVS) is not recommended. Still convincing proving are missing that acute and chronic wounds heal with the VVS better than with a conventional working method. To this result on 28 February 2007 published short report (rapidly report) of the institute comes for quality and economy in the health service (IQWiG). The Cologne researchers examined whether the total statement in March 2006 of the locked use evaluation changes, if one includes additionally recent clinical comparisons.
