- Despite difficult basic conditions, far rising rising costses and general complaints about bad conditions of work - succeeds creating many public like private mechanisms in the health service attractive and jobs contently placing for their persons employed. The results of the competition “best employers show this in the health service 2007”, accomplished of Cologne Forschungsinstitut psychonomics AG and the Great Place ton of Work (R) institutes Germany in co-operation with the initiative new quality of the work (INQA) of the Federal Ministry for work and social.
The winners of the country wide competition were distinguished last night in Berlin within solemn framework.
Completely in front on the list of the 25 best employers in the health service the holy field hospitals from bath Kissingen could platzieren themselves. On the places two and three follow the catholic clinical center Marienhof/St.Josef from Koblenz and Cologne Caritas management and carrier company.
More as fifty public like private nursing facilities of different kind and size with altogether over 70.000 persons employed had placed themselves to the comparative investigation of its quality and attractiveness as employers. The evaluation took place after the internationally worked Great Place ton of Work (R) evaluation standard on basis from coworker questionings as well as a culture audit to programs and measures in the area of staff. Altogether approximately 15,000 persons employed were asked to central job topics (reliability, respect, Fairness of the high-level personnel, identification with the activity and the employer, quality of co-operation, further training, social security benefits etc.). The study of the Gothaer health insurance and the professional association for health service and Wohlfahrtspflege (BGW) was supported.
Franc Hauser of Forschungsinstitut psychonomics AG and director/conductor of the Great Place ton of Work (C) institutes Germany to the results:
“The investigation shows a whole row excellent employer in the health service and besides a high identification of the persons employed. For 92 per cent of the asked coworkers its activity more than only a “job” represents. However still some remains simultaneous doing. To examine the quality and attractiveness of the jobs in the care sector systematically and, where necessary, to optimize purposefully an enormously important task represents: On the one hand it concerns a central job market of the future, on the other hand is engaged coworkers the condition for a high quality of the care”.

The honor with the quality seal “best employers in the health service 2007” was presented to the mechanisms by Andreas Schubert, executive committee psychonomics AG and Dr. Christa Sedlatschek, business guide of INQA. In addition special prices for special achievements in individual dimensions of the job quality were lent: Dr. Herbert Schmitz, chairman of the board that
Gothaer health insurance, presented the special price “health of the coworkers” to the Reha center Lübben from the Spreewald. It stressed thereby the special responsibility of the mechanisms of the health service for the health of its own coworkers. The competition special price “compatibility
from occupation & family " likewise Lübben went to the Reha center. The competition total winner holy field hospitals received the special price “qualification of the coworkers”.
