European Union inquiry: Germans are European champions, which concerns fears of future
(openPR) - an inquiry of the European Union with scarcely 27,000 citizens of the European Union from 27 member countries concerned itself with the presentnesses and life attitudes of European citizens (at the age over 15 years). As constant result with a multiplicity of questions “German fear” shows up: The Germans are very much future-pessimistic and more dissatisfied than the average of the European Union citizens.
If one pages through that scarcely 200seitigen report with a multiplicity of tables and diagrams, then one stops in many places, with whom in the land comparison the small black-red-golden flag is not as symbol for the position of the Germans in the centre zone to be found, but far above, if it concerns fears and fears, quite far down, if on aspects such as satisfaction or hopes one reports. Thus is it shown about:
• With the confidence into the security of the pension and into the own material future safety device Germany at the lowest end of the land scale ranks. Only 24% are here confident. Those are still less than only in Hungary (29%) or Poland (31%) and a fraction of the ratio, which is obtained in Denmark (74%) or Finland (67%).
• Also with the question, how the personal life situation developed in the last five years and how it probably goes to own estimate in the next five years further, outweighs with the German restraint and pessimism. In almost all countries will the future rather optimistically seen and also with the past developments is recognized rather positive changes. Only few European Union states deviate from this sample, among them Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece and - Germany.
• Germans do not only see black for the own future, it worry themselves likewise (above average strongly) around the future of the own children and coming generations. On the question whether one believes that the today's children it as adults in the life once rather more easily or more with difficulty will have than today's adults, is only 3% of the Germans future-optimistically. That is the lowest ratio of all European Union states.
