Students bring hand ball club up „on ZAK “

Rostock, 07.02.2007 „goals - actions - characteristic numbers “, shortened „ZAKs “, presented at the end of January in the university Campus elm tree road student for the conclusion „of the main min acre Balanced Scorecard “. In a three-month community project of the rust ochers University of, Juniorprofessur for general management economics/Funktionalcontrolling, and the hand ball club up Rostock a management system had been developed after the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method. With this balanced strategic acting in the up hand ball GmbH is to be realized, considering all groups of requirements affected thereby like e.g. fans, players, coworkers and sponsors.

With the development the students had slipped into the role of „hand ball managers on time “. Now they presented the results of their work in five groups to the HC-up executive committees Lutz disk, finance executive committee and managing director of the up hand ball GmbH, and Jürgen Penthin, responsible for the new generation work, in the conclusion seminar.

In numerous discussions with managers, coaches, players, fans and sponsors of the hand ball tradition club, while training attendance and with Heimspielen of the HC up had themselves the seminar participants in the past months comprehensively informed. In a first step then goals and development areas were to be defined, the all relevant „perspectives “by finances over the players and coworkers up to fans and sponsors considered. Subsequently, the defined „strategic topics were set “like „stabilization of the crew “and „image care “in relationship with in each case four selected „development areas “- „players “, „fans “, „sponsors “and „new generation “-. These connections were finally concretized with adequate actions and appropriate characteristic numbers for success measurement on the way to the agreed upon goals. The students compiled so a comprehensive measure catalog; from altogether 30 „ZAKs developed “presented it in their presentation some selected actions and characteristic numbers more near.

The up Handball executive committees Lutz disk and Jürgen Penthin appeared impressed by the ideas of the students deeply: „This achievement and passion for the HC up made, meant a goose skin for me “Lutz disk, which the seminar called hand ball GmbH “extraordinarily interesting and helpful project for a better controlling of the enterprise up”. Disk thanked the seminar participants and announced to develop further and convert the sketched management concept with interested students. Particularly in marketing and during the fan support disk wants to use the students.

The seminar leaders Dr. Herwig R. Friedag and Dr. Walter Schmidt praised the unusual commitment of the students. Also Professor Dr. Antje Krey confirmed particularly large interest in the practice partner. “Most students have completely personal purchases to the sport and to interest itself in the economic mechanisms in the professional haven. Large successes in the history of the hand ball club up contributed likewise to the fact that all were with eagerness with the thing.”

The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is regarded in the management economics as important instrument for the conversion of strategies and used world-wide of enterprises of all industries.
