MIDAS middle class fund receives the acknowledgment as first public funds from the country North-Rhine/Westphalia as UBG

(openPR) - security by national warranties and acknowledgment as UBG set new transparency yardsticks in the market for closed funds

Cologne, 14.02.2007 - already to the turn of the year the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the country North Rhine-Westphalia recognized the MIDAS participation GmbH, the investment vehicle of the MIDAS middle class fund No. 2, as an enterprise holding company (UBG). Thus the MIDAS fund is the first public fund of its kind, which by this freiwillige proximity provides to national control instances for transparency.

A UBG has available the purpose to place to medium-size enterprises from Germany capital. The bases are regulated in the law over enterprise holding companies (UBGG). Therein the among other things following control mechanisms are prescribed:

- Compulsion of disclosure in relation to the national Ministry of Economic Affairs North-Rhine/Westphalia: The end-of-year procedure of the UBG is to be put to the Ministry inclusive report on the situation and examination report at the disposal.

- Investment principles: In addition the law e.g. prescribes criteria like portion of individual investments of the total balance sheet total.

- For the investors of the MIDAS middle class fund No. 2 the acknowledgment has a pleasant side effect as UBG: The MIDAS participation GmbH is released due to your investment activity in Germany from the trade tax.
